"If catharsis didn't come from your art, those demons would run amok. When someone has such a profound effect then I don't think there is an expiry date on that level - it's pretty timeless, in that it's shaped an irreversible outcome that is very much a part of you now. I feel like maybe there are some things we just don't "get over" in the conventional sense. The daily 'need' diminishes with time, but we can't erase the part that's become us."
